Small business is important to most communities and Fort Bend County is working to ensure they remain in good shape.
On Thursday, Fort Bend County Judge KP George updated efforts the county is undertaking through its small business agenda to “support small businesses in Fort Bend County and promote the growth of emerging businesses.”
Amid the ongoing pandemic during COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions, businesses have faced challenges beyond simple competition.
“Our small businesses have faced unprecedented challenges this past year, and we have stepped up to provide them the support they need while jumpstarting Fort Bend County’s economic recovery,” George said in a news release. “Their success is our county’s success. I was talking to a restaurant owner who said the only reason why he is in business today is because of the support he received from the county.”
