Residents will soon have the chance to comment on new office developments on Rodd Street and rezoning for a Dollar General, along with tuning in to a discussion on the city’s master planning process.
At 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 24, the Midland Planning Commission will meet at City Hall to have a workshop discussion on the master plan. The workshop will be followed by the commission’s regular public meeting at 7 p.m., with two public hearings scheduled.
One public hearing regards a new Dollar General store moving into the old Family Video building on Washington Street at the corner of Cambridge, across from Midland Community Stadium. According to the meeting agenda, the Dollar General Corporation is asking for a zoning change to the property.
