The Sleepy Eye City Council unanimously approved an ordinance Tuesday to sell five acres of city-owned property for $95,000 to Miller Sellner Implement. Doug Miller of Miller Sellner said the land was purchased to accommodate a future building addition.
SLEEPY EYE — The Sleepy Eye City Council unanimously approved the second reading of an ordinance Tuesday to sell five acres of city-owned property to Miller Sellner Implement.
The ordinance to sell the property just south of the business for $95,000 was approved on a motion by councilor Doug Pelzel, seconded by Gary Windschitl.
The purchase price of the land is based on current zoning of agriculture. It would need to be rezoned for the parcel to be used for the implement business.
