A St. Paul chef is set to testify at the U.S. House of Representatives Tuesday about community violence and its impact on local businesses.
Brian Ingram is the founder and CEO of Purpose Restaurants, which includes two Hope Breakfast Bar locations, The Gnome Craft Pub and a newly-open spot, The Apostle Supper Club.
Ingram has seen his share of violence and crime as a small business owner and will testify at 1 p.m. CST, for the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations.
The hearing is called “Thoughts and Prayers are Not Enough: How Mass Shootings Harm Communities, Local Economies, and Economic Growth.”
Ingram announced the testimony invitation on social media Saturday after the Friday letter confirmed his participation as a witness.
