Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort in his eighth Independence Day speech on Sunday. Over the years, he has used the occasion to announce major initiatives such as Swachh India, Pradhanmantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan and the abolition of the Planning Commission.
Late last month, the Prime Minister invited inputs for his Independence Day speech on social media. “Your thoughts will reverberate from the ramparts of the Red Fort. What are your inputs for PM @narendramodi’s speech on 15th August? Share them on @mygovindia,” the Prime Minister’s Office tweeted.
